Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we process, why, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. It covers stw.lv and all of its language versions.

Who processes your data

The controller is STUTTGART WORKSHOP SIA, registration number 40003915171, address: Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve 114/3, Rīga LV-1029, Latvija. For anything about personal data write to info@stuttgartworkshop.lv or call +371 20 30 60 70.

What we process

There is one place on this site where you give us your data yourself — the enquiry form. From it we receive:

  • your first and last name;
  • your e-mail address and/or phone number — at least one of them, so that we can answer;
  • the subject of the enquiry and your message;
  • the car the enquiry is about, if it was sent from a car page.

Stored alongside the enquiry are the page it was sent from, the language of the site and your IP address. The IP address serves one purpose only — protection against automated submissions: no more than five enquiries per hour may be sent from one address.

We do not ask for or process special categories of data, we do not buy databases, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Why, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the site from being used to send spam — our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Visitor statistics — only with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

  • Personal data in enquiries — 12 months. After that the name, e-mail, phone number and message are deleted automatically. The enquiry itself remains without them — date, subject, language and car — so that we keep our own record of how many enquiries arrive and about what.
  • IP address — 30 days. It is needed only for looking into spam.
  • E-mail correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation and statutory retention periods require.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and do not pass it to third parties for advertising. The site uses two Google services:

  • Google Maps — the map on the contacts page. It loads immediately, so opening that page gives Google your IP address and browser details.
  • Google Analytics 4 — visitor statistics. It is loaded only if you have agreed to statistics cookies. Without that consent the script is simply not on the page.

Our e-mail and hosting providers may also handle the data, but only to the extent needed to provide their service.

Cookies

  • Necessary — WordPress session cookies. They are set only for logged-in editors of the site and are required for it to work.
  • Consent cookie — remembers your choice in the cookie notice so you are not asked on every visit.
  • Statistics — the Google Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_*. Set only with your consent.
  • Google Maps may set its own cookies when the contacts page with the map is opened.

Consent to statistics cookies can be withdrawn at any time in the cookie notice, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

  • to be told what data of yours we process, and to receive a copy of it;
  • to have inaccurate data corrected;
  • to ask for erasure or for processing to be restricted;
  • to object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • to receive your data in a portable format;
  • to withdraw consent at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

To exercise any of these, write to info@stuttgartworkshop.lv. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv).

Changes to this policy

If the way we process data changes, we will update this page. Material changes will be marked with a date at the top of it.
